Bringing out the Glow of Sunlight to the those who need it most

Abhoy Mission is a research and rehabilitation center for the senior citizens, disabled and mentally ill persons. The organisation is functioning to provide well-structured and multidimensional services to the persons with disabilities and senior citizens including taking the community at large into account.  At the same time our objective is to reduce the incidence of disability in the State and to grow confidence in the mind of the senior citizens. Manpower development for providing better services in this field is another objective of our organisation. Earlier the name was All Tripura Sch. Castes, Tribes and Minority upliftment Council and renamed as ABHOY MISSION   from 4th March 2008 by the Government of Tripura, Department of Cooperation.

Education

On Inclusive Education for Private and Government School teachers, SSA and SSA Bridge Course, a One Day Workshop was held, where 93 Teachers and students of B. Ed & M.Ed. from different corners of the State participated. This programme has created a great enthusiasm among the participants. Our various educational programs are

Future Plan

We plan to have a Rehabilitation Centre with the aim to provide care and protection.

Setting up of Training Centre and imparting various trainings to increase the number of  Rehabilitation Programmes for the disabled.

Establishing a Hospital with at least 10 Beds for child and mother .

Plan to make Self-Help Groups among the Senior Citizens

National Trust Award

Our Organisation has been awarded with the National Trust Award for the year 2007-2008 for our excellent performance in the field of service to the disable persons. Our SAMARTH Project has been selected as the best of its kind in India. This Award consists of Shield, Certificate and Cash reward. Hon’ble Welfare Minister of India, Smt. Meira Kumar was kind enough to hand over the prize in a function organized in New Delhi.
