Old Age home for Care, shelter & Protection of homeless Elders 

 Senior citizens, especially widows, mainly due to lack of financial independence get neglected by the society as well as by the near relations. This group virtually has to become homeless and pass their life in most miserable conditions.  To care, protect and give them shelter, medical care, mental peace, occupational and spiritual activities, recreation etc the Old Age Home started in the year 1993-94. In this Project priority is always given to those senior citizens who have developed mental disorder, as these groups do not generally get any kind of help and support. With this idea in view, we have started such a home named ABHOY ASHRAM with the capacity to give shelter for 30 residents including mentally ill women. A team of trained staff provides proper care in respect of their health hygiene, nutrition physiotherapy, medical support, skill development service and skill development for vocational and occupational activities. The sponsoring agency for this project is the ministry of Social Justice and empowerment, Govt. of India.
