Inclusive Education Programme for School Teachers

 On Inclusive Education for Private and Government School teachers, SSA and SSA Bridge Course, a One Day Workshop was held, where 93 Teachers and students of B. Ed & M.Ed. from different corners of the State participated. This programme was the first of its kind in the State, which has created a great enthusiasm among the participants. Experts from various streams, such as, Educationists, Doctors, etc delivered speeches on the role of teachers for inclusive education, necessity of barrier free environment for proper implementation of Inclusive Education, etc

Special B.Ed. Course

The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) has taken the responsibility of planning, developing and standardizing the quality of training for rehabilitation of professionals to meet the need of life span of persons with disabilities. With this idea in view, our Organisation has been enlisted as B.Ed. Special Education Centre in Tripura under the Universities of Netaji Subhash Open University, Kolkata in Bengali Medium and North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong in English Medium. From this year we have started this Special B.Ed. Course.

Caregivers Training programme 

Rehabilitation Council of India has entrusted us with the responsibility to conduct this Course in our Institute so that the trained personnel can provide direct care giving services to the families of persons with disabilities, mainly in rural areas, (specially persons with autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and multiple disabilities), old and the infirm in a residential set up to teach them to cope with the problems and help in sharing family role and responsibilities.

NISD Training

 The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India has launched a Project called National Institute on Care for Elderly persons in consonance of national Policy on older persons through National institute of Social Defense. The National Institute of Social Defense (NISD), under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India has entrusted with the responsibility to our Organisation for conducting “six months certificate course on Geriatric Care”.  Three batches of such training with intake of 30 trainees in each batch have already been successfully completed and the training for the fourth batch is under progress.

Special Olympic Bharat

 Our Organisation is registered with National Office of Special Olympic Bharat, New Delhi. The main object of this Programme is to give equal opportunity to the intellectual disable persons in sports. From Tripura Chapter the intellectual disable persons attended three Coaching Camps this year i.e. 2007.
